Operate and maintain
telecommunications equipment in a Central Office environment. Facility
equipment includes VOIP Networks, Cisco Routers, Avaya, NGVN, DACS, MUX'S,
Nortel DMS and various Fiber Transport equipment, such as ADM's, DWDM, by
Nortel, Tellabs, Sycamore, NEC.and Cienna. Determine causes for
equipment failures by using various types of test equipment such as TBerd,
HP Optical analyzers, Terminal connections with TL1 or vendor Proprietary
Propirotary Proprietary GUI/software interfaces, for all levels DSO to
OC192. Work with other departments and customers using engineering
databases for circuit installation, troubleshooting and repair. Build and
Provision tables and trunks for feature groups and customer circuits on
both Nortel DMS, Nortel NGVN and Plexus VOIP switching. Cross trained and
certified as a Cell Site Switch Technician on Sprint's CDMA Network to
support workload and staffing shortages. Collateral duties include building
and maintaining facility web pages for indexing of site procedures and
policies. Building Management and Safety, Maintain all facility safety
manuals and databases in accordance with OSHA Standards. Certified
Red Cross Instructor for Work Place and Community First Aid, CPR and AED
(Automatic External Defibrillator). Train Local area employees in
